Solving for Communication Failures in Medical Malpractice Claims
With the steady rise in both sentinel events and malpractice claims severity, it’s critical that hospitals and health systems leverage industry data to understand and address the root causes of patient harm. The correlation between miscommunication and medical errors has historically been overlooked or considered a problem that is “too big to solve”, and consequently, the healthcare industry has failed to address a major crack in its system.

The paper shares the impact that this vulnerability has should it continue to go unaddressed and concludes with proven strategies for implementing structured communication for systemic, sustained patient safety improvements.
